Best Popovers Recipe

It was a rainy, cool Sunday morning and I had made fresh strawberry jam the day before so I wanted something to put that jam on. Popovers!! Oh my gosh, these were so good fresh out of the oven with butter and jam. I couldn’t stop at just one. This is the best popovers recipe I’ve had yet. Just don’t eat too many or your belly will popover your pants.

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of half n half
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  1. Heat oven to 450°.
  2. Grease all 6 cups in popover pan. I used a cooking spray with flour.
  3. Beat eggs slightly, then mix in flour, milk, and salt.
  4. Beat until smooth but do not overbeat. I hand beat mine with a metal whisk.
  5. Fill custard cups 1/2 full.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes then cut your heat to 350° and bake 20 minutes longer.
  7. Remove from cups.
  8. Serve warm.
